Incredible Finishes and Incredibles Halftime

55-24

Dr. Bartner’s trip down memory lane this week spans nearly his entire career at USC.

ARTCAST: Dr. Bartner recalls the incredible finish to the 1974 season. In the regular-season finale, the No. 4-ranked Trojans faced the No. 5-ranked Irish in the Coliseum. Notre Dame raced to a 24-0 lead before USC scored eight touchdowns and 55 unanswered points in just under 17 minutes in what became known as “The Comeback.” Watch the video for a classic shot of trombone player Ken Dye playing Fight On after one touchdown. (Ken would go on to direct the Notre Dame band.) And check out that ticket price: $8!

One month later, the Trojans squared off in the Rose Bowl against Ohio State, which also ended in dramatic fashion with a late touchdown and two-point conversion scored right in front of the TMB. Dr. Bartner will also talk about the TMB’s game day traditions.

Classic TMB Halftime: Jumping ahead a few decades, Dr. Bartner recap the 2018 Tribute to Pixar halftime show, show, featuring TMB alum Steve Bloom who filmed an early TMB video and went on to greater things, editing the award-winning film “Coco.”
